I have participated at the Northern Knap In at Manchester Museum, on 19 November 2014. There, I learned to reproduce some of the artefacts that I have being studying of late.

Here are some videos, a collection of pictures and a few audio recordings. Spot the Stone Age rhythm!

Workshop at its height.

Myself at work, producing flakes and blades.

Audio from the event. Note that the knapping sound becomes rhythmic early on, despite the presence of one master knapper and first-timers. It appeared to me as if people attempted to imitate the operation by attempting to produce the same sound.

Audio from the event, with multiple sound, and some grinding at the end.
